Remake of this for :iconmisternewuzer:'s TFA Art jam thingy.

I wanted to at least get the line work in by the deadline...I'm gunna try to finish it tommow while my hairs getting done...

Rant will come when colour is finished.

EDIT

So, theres this art Jam. You had to pick a scene from the 1986 Transformers movie or the 2007 Transformers film and recreate it in TFA Style.

Now in Technicolour!! (Yes, it’s spelt with a ‘u’ because I’m Canadian.)

Here’s that rant I promised you.

[rant]
What do you call a procrastinator who has never drawn Transformers of any kind before? Slagging tired, that’s what! Yes, yes, as you can clearly tell, I’ve never done this before. It was fraggin hard! I know that there is a very understandable pattern to drawing transformers, especially if you know your perspective; but I was just so damn intimidated! Primus, there are so many things wrong with this image it’s not even funny. I’ll leave some of pointing those out to the critiquers, critics, whatever, because there’s a good chance I’ll come back in a few days and try to fix some of them.

There were other scenes I wanted to do. This was my second choice. My first was the dance party on planet Junk form 1986, but that would have been waaaaay to hard. Then this, then Starscreams coronation, which I tried but couldn’t because then there would be the remaking of Astrotrain, which I could not do. Then there was Spike and Bee “Oh S***! What do we do now?”, but that would have been too simple. Then there was Kup telling the Dinobots old war stories, but then I would have to redesign Kup and two of the Dinobots…oh, and “Don’t leave me Soundwave!” SW carrying Megs out of battle. I rewatched the entire movie just to pick out those scenes (not that I’m complaining, the movie is awesome.

One for the 2007 film I would have liked to do would have been Satan’s Camaro, but in this case I guess Satan’s Compact car; with Bee chasing pre-Robo-Sari down the sidewalk while she’s on her trike, rather than Sam on his bike, ya know? There were a lot of really creative pieces – a lot of them being better than this thing here – and I really enjoyed the challenge.

There’s just one thing that confuses me. I was the only one who did this scene, which is very surprising considering its one of the more famous scenes from TF in, like, ever…

Ah a fellow procrastinator to the tfa art jam! lol I'm guilty as well.

It also surprised me that no one else rushed to do this scene. I thought it would've been one of the more popular ones.

Only criticism I can give is the berth Optimus is laying on seems slightly crooked from the rest of the pic. But the lines and coloring look very clean.

For the first time drawing Transformers, you pulled it off wonderfully. Bravo. :)

Perspective? What perspective? Lol, really, I was more concerned with getting the robots right than, well, anything else  But I'm glad I was able to make it look that way even though I was completely unaware that I did. Thank you so much, I really hoped to continue in this direction and learn to draw mecha in a lot more detail in the future :) All of the positive feedback is really encouraging.
