II III My home sweet himicide, that is. Damn title character restrictions. Anywho, here's my TL;DR blurb. So this is the school assignment thats been taking up all of my art-s-ing time since September. The assignment was to create three pieces (hence, Triptych) of art in the same medium with the same subject, each the same size and revolving around the same theme. I chose the following for anyone who is interested Medium: Digital Media Subject: Story Illustration Size: (printed at) 11x14 inches Theme: No happy endings, no exceptions But instead of picking some written story, I chose songs that told stories. But songs with lyrics that mean what they say and say when they mean. Taking the lines literally they tell a story. Yay for musical tales The layout is set as if taken from the (non-existent) music video for said song. The center image is a screen caption with subtitles at the bottom of the screen to indicate which point of the song I am imaginarily attempting to depict while the film strip at the top shows different shots of the video including the musicians that actually created the song (like most music videos include) and the couple separately, done in a different effect. The second of three is My Home Sweet Homicide by Wednesday 13 (gotta love the play on words there, eh?). The story of a man whos life is so far gone that he spends the rest of it with an antagonizing woman who is doing only God knows what to him. Please tell me if you see a happy ending coming out of that sentence. This one was a little easier to put together because there was already a music video for it, but that was the only thing about this entire project that was easy -_-; Time taken: Aprox. 15 hours Textures: First concrete texture by Cracked concrete texture by Wood texture by I already know the million and one mistakes and improvements that can be made, but critique is still welcome I've got nothing to lose that's why I'm with you Comments
